Rainbowsatwo AGAIN!
Wednesday, 2 November 2011 | 04:16
Another challenge to complete so let's get it done before I start my entry.

So the questions that fairytaiI posted was:
1. Do best friends exist?
2. If they do, what is the difference between a best friend and a friend?

1. Well, for the classification of the people I know or met, there is no 'best friend' category.
I only have 'Acquaintance', 'Hi-bye Friends', 'Friends', 'Close Friends', 'Lover' in the classification of people I know or met. Oh my god, I think I've been watching too much TBBT that I'm turning this topic into some science explanation. -.- (I'll explain what is TBBT later on.)

Okay, so what I'm trying to say is that I do not regard anyone as best friend. Just friend or close friend. Everyone is different and they have many different sides which mostly may be favourable to me and others not so well. So I don't know how to judge who is a good, better or best friend to me. You get my drift? I feel that it's the closeness that makes a difference in the significance of a person to me. If you're someone who has been with me through thick and thin, knows me well enough to understand what I'm feeling or thinking most of the time then you'd know that your existence has become such an importance to me that I'd be terribly upset if one day you were to become absent in my life. So if 'best friend' is supposedly a person of great importance to me, then yes, it exists for me. Just that I don't call them my best friends.

2. Like I say earlier, I classify these people through the closeness between the person and I. So I guess that kind of answers my question? But then again, if someone who is close to me right now can also lose his/her position of my 'best friend' (in this context) if one day, he/her stop putting in the effort to maintain our relationship. I feel that every relationship, be it family-relationship, platonic relationship or romantic relationship requires the effort for maintenance or improvement. It will always be a give and take thing so once a party stops putting in effort, then the relationship will just break in the end. This has actually happened many times in my life and I hope the relationship with the friends that I cherish wouldn't end up like those that broke.

I think my answer to fairytaiI's question sounded like an essay. -_____-
Got a little too serious up there.
Before writing this post, I was actually watching The Big Bang Theory (TBBT).
It is actually an American sitcom about 4 nerds and a blonde.
It is so hilarious that I got addicted to it and watched most of the video clips available on youtube.
I know that both swytnightmares and fairytaiI probably wouldn't be interested in it but I still want to share my new source of entertainment that I've discovered on Monday.

I should get on to the interesting things that happened to me.
Brought the kids from kidsRead (It's a reading programme for kids created by National Library Board and People's Association for children from low-income families.) to Universal Studios Singapore with the volunteers from kidsRead and Zhenghua YEC on Saturday 29th Oct!
We were all paired up with a child (or two for some - which includes me).
I was 'paired' with 2 twelve year old girls and I was so afraid that I had to ride all the scary rides with them!
Lucky for me, one of them wasn't that brave so I could skip the ride and take care of her while the warrior went up the ride with the other volunteers. ^^
We took almost all the rides but we missed the Water World show. ):
Mega upset that we got the wrong timing (because we didn't realize they change the timing for halloween season) and missed the show.
Changed that half an hour of programme to free-and-easy time and we went for the Madagascar's crate adventure the second time.
I thought it would be considered a boring ride for twelve years old, and apparently I am wrong.
The Dino-soarin ride, which I thought is a ride meant for small kids, was surprisingly fun for the 2 twelve year olds because they went for the ride twice too.
I'm really glad they enjoyed the day even though the kids were all exhausted.
It was an awesome experience with the kids and I can't wait to bring them out for another excursion trip! ^__^
Let me show you the happiness and fun we had at USS!

Okay, moving on.
Managed to vacuum most parts of the house with my sister and helped to cook dinner for the evening. - Tue
My weekend is fully packed with fun filled activities and I shall post entry/entries (if we implement the 2 days posting for all 3 of us.) about them.
Oh and just to raise some questions for my own clarification!

  1. Are we only allowed to post one entry during our day/days that we're supposed to update the blog?
  2. When we missed our day/days, do we still need to update the blog?
  3. The challenges/punishment that we set for each other, are they only limited to what we can do with blogging or can we set challenges/punishments to be done in real life (and provide evidence - e.g. photos or videos)?
  4. Maybe someone can do a Rules & Regulations entry or column at the side of the blog. - this isn't a question actually. -__-
Because of Question no. 3, fairytaiI and I haven't come up with a punishment for swytnightmares so watch for fairytaiI's entry on Friday (if she doesn't forget) for the punishment! :D

This a really lengthy post. I hope it entertains the both of you, and whoever is reading!
Jaa~
